The Finance Department manages all Village funds and is responsible for leading the Village's annual budgetary planning process, preparing the property tax levy, and coordinating the annual audit process. The department also manages revenue collections; payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; purchasing; water billing; cashiering; risk management; treasury management (investments); monthly bank and investment reconciliations; development and maintenance of the Finance policy and procedure manual; and provides helpful information to those who call or visit the Village Hall.
The Finance Department produces various financial reports on a monthly and annual basis. These reports provide valuable information regarding the status of the Village's finances to the Village Board and staff. The Department also prepares the multi-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
