Building Department Administrator
The Village of Harwood Heights is seeking a full-time Building Department Administrator to coordinate the activities of the Building Department.  These activities include but are not limited to scheduling inspections, issuing permits and business licenses, maintaining department records, and coordinating planning and zoning hearings.  Applicants must be familiar with building codes and have experience with Microsoft Office programs.  Must have good organizational and customer service skills.  An undergraduate degree is desired, however comparable life/work experience and education will be considered.  Applicants must have at least two years of experience working with building/zoning documents and procedures.  Fluency in Polish is desired.

Building Department Administrator Job Description

Emergency Communications Telecommunicator (ECT)
The Municipal Consolidated Dispatch (MCD) center located in Harwood Heights is currently seeking qualified persons for the position of full-time Emergency Communications Telecommunicator (ECT) and establish a pool of qualified candidates.  MCD serves as the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the Villages of Harwood Heights, Norridge, Schiller Park, and provides dispatching services for the Norwood Park Fire Protection District (three police departments and two fire agencies).  MCD handles requests for police, fire, emergency medical assistance, and after-hours public works notifications.  All personnel are cross-trained.  Applications and a full job description can be downloaded at www.mcde911.org.  Completed applications should be submitted either in person, mail, or emailed to the attention of:
