Pre-Sale Inspections
The Village of Harwood Heights requires pre-sale inspections prior to the sale of any property. Prior to scheduling an inspection - the seller or his/her attorney or agent must complete a Certificate of Compliance form (provided below) and pay the required fee at the Village Hall.
Inspection fees must be paid before scheduling an inspection.
$100 - single family or condo ($100)
$250 - multi-family ($250 up to 5 units, plus $50 each dwelling thereafter)
$750 - commercial
To schedule an inspection, please call the Village Hall at 708-867-7200. Inspections must be scheduled 2-3 weeks prior to closing.
Water Meter Replacement Fees
Per Ordinance 26-01 (effective 2/12/26), anyone selling their home must pay a water meter replacement fee. Click here to see the list of fees.
