I was a young teenager in 1963 when my parents moved to Harwood Heights from Bialystok, . Like many immigrant children, my English was limited and could have delayed my education. The dedicated teachers at Union Ridge School made sure that I was not a child left behind and I quickly became proficient in English. As a result, I completed Taft High School and college without delay. It was the Union Ridge experience that laid the foundation for me to complete my education. I have a BA in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from Roosevelt University . It is clear to me that my academic and professional success was the result of strong family support partnered with strong sense of community that welcomed all newcomers to Harwood Heights .

I have more than 25 years experience in business and finance. As a successful market maker I became of member of the Chicago Stock Exchange. Currently, I am the Director of Operations for a wealth management corporation that manages over a billion dollars on behalf of its clients.  As such, I monitor both the and global markets to ensure that the funds of our clients are invested wisely and profitably.

I believe that the strength of a community whether it is local, national or global lies in the efforts of it members. As such, I was a board member of Zurawlik, an organization that provided support for orphanages in Eastern Europe . In 2005, I was elected as a Harwood Heights trustee and re-elected in 2009. As Trustee I currently serve as chair of Information & Technology and Finance.

I believe elected officials should be fiscally conservative to preserve essential services for our residents.  At the same time, we must find opportunities to grow within the ever changing global economy. The preservation of our community spirit and future development is dependent on the combined action of residents and elected officials.
