Demetrios “Jimmy” Mougolias was born in Chicago and is Bilingual, speaking English with Greek being his 2nd language. Demetrios married May 10, 2003 to his wife Lisa. On may 25, 2005 Demetrios and Lisa had their first daughter Stephanie followed by Christina on November 21, 2006. He has lived in Harwood Heights since 1994. He has a degree in Diamond Grading from The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and is continuing to further his education with GIA working towards a graduate Gemologist degree. He is the 2nd Vice President of Harwood Heights Chamber of Commerce. Demetrios works at Jewels By Stelios, a family owned store where Demetrios is the store manager. Demetrios is also the president for a charity organization, George Mougolias Memorial Foundation (GMMF), which was established in the memory of his late cousin, George, who passed away in a car accident. Which along with help numerous charities awards three scholarships a year to deserving young students. Along with friends and family they began this organization to “Keep His Spirit Alive”.
