I am a proud lifelong Harwood Heights Resident, a graduate from Union Ridge Elementary School, Ridgewood High School, and Northeastern Illinois University - B.A. of the Arts and a faithful member of St. Rosalie’s Catholic Church.
At a young age, I began playing the violin, piano and accordion. Throughout my schooling, I continued to study with many Chicago-based professors who allowed me to grasp a better understanding of repertoire and the appreciation of classical and world music. Among other things, I learned to appreciate other cultures and their traditions.
I have always loved to share my gift of music with my community by performing regularly with our local senior clubs, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and organizations such as the Red Hat Society and Salvation Army.
What I hold most dear to my heart is having the ability to represent the Village of Harwood Heights as your Trustee.
As your Trustee, I have served as Chairman of the Forestry Department, coordinating tree trimming services in our community and making sure trees which were sick or ill were cared for properly. I have also served as the Chairman of Recreation, providing and organizing free workshops such as the “Senior Elderly Abuse and Asset Protection” workshop as well as successfully organizing annual village health fairs, providing residents with complimentary services and information rendered by local healthcare providers. In addition, I have arranged state sponsored services such as the "State of Illinois Secretary of State Mobile Drivers Facility" to be at our village hall.
Being the Chairman of Recreation, I have continued to support our youth commission and the many athletic programs by providing a friendly and fun environment for our youth, encouraging them to engage and get involved in extracurricular activities and sports outside of school to uphold a healthy and athletic well-being. I am also the Representative of the West Suburban Special Recreation Association, which provides our residents and surrounding communities with services for children and adults with special needs.
In addition to being your Trustee, I currently hold the positions of Norwood Park Township Committeeman, Sergeant of Arms of the Joseph Conrad Yacht Club of Chicago, active member of the PNA and Polish Museum of America as well as a delegate for the Polish American Congress. I am a Master Mason, a proud member of the Harwood Heights-Norridge Rotary Club and a successful finisher of the 2010 Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lakefront Marathon.
Over the years, I have volunteered with many charitable organizations in which I am still active.
I volunteer my time during the week to deliver “MEALS ON WHEELS” to homebound residents through the Central Baptist Village Retirement Home. As well as take part in "Christmas bell ringing" for the Salvation Army each year with members of the Rotary Club.
I have worked closely with and continue to maintain a good, solid relationship with local, state, and federally elected officials to better serve our community by representing your views and concerns.
I fully believe that the hopes and dreams of the people are the most important ideas. I embrace your values and concerns and provide a voice and vision for our village. I have served and will continue to serve the residents of Harwood Heights with INTEGRITY, LOYALTY, and in an HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY manner, eager to put your interests first.
