George Alex and his wife Rosaria have lived in Harwood Heights since 1993. George grew up in the northwest side community of Portage Park and graduated from Lane Technical High School. George and Rosaria have three children, Peter, Vincent and Diana.
George received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and was awarded a CPA from the University of Illinois at Champaign. He received his Doctorate in Jurisprudence and his Masters of Law in Taxation, with Honors, from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. George has over fifteen years of experience in the area of Corporate Taxation and supervises the State and Local Taxation Division of a Fortune 500 Company.
George has been actively involved in the community. As a member of the Youth Commission, George coached soccer for over five years. He served as Village Treasurer until October of 2000 when he was appointed to the Office of Village Clerk. In addition to having served as Village Clerk and Treasurer, George also served as the Village Pension Administrator.
Trustee Alex is the Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Public Health & Safety, Public Works, Sewer & Water and Ordinance & License Committees.
